SCO集团出售UNIX资产

SCO集团在一份申明中称，将出售UNIX部门。这个部门是负责UnixWare和OpenServer的销售和发展并支持这些产品的技术和服务。目前有关各方出价时间截止10月5日。

SCO集团描述到，出售UNIX部门是试图让用户保持对UNIX技术的信任。与此同时，出售后的收益将保证SCO集团的生存。首席财务官Ken Nielsen说，出售资产是保证我们全球客户商业连续性的重要一步。

市场观察者认为，由于SCO集团的UNIX部门长期亏损，一个比较合适的成交价将在2–400万美金之间。目前另一家Linux巨头Novell正在挂牌出价二块业务。

The SCO Group Announces UNIX Asset Sale

The purchase price for the UNIX software assets will be determined in connection with the auction sale.
