Ubuntu Software Store原名Ubuntu AppCenter,将会统一目前的Ubuntu的包理器。目前，UbuntuSoftware Store 不会被默认安装在Ubuntu 9.10 (KarmicKoala)的开发版里，但是可以通过Synaptic搜索”software-store”来安装。
Ubuntu Software Store 的目标是替代一些系统管理程序，如新立德软件包管理器，添加／删除，GDebi,ComputerJanitor(电脑管理者)和更新管理器，还提供新闻，Ubuntu User用户反馈，更简单的去搜索，安装，更新，删除程序。

然而，Ubuntu Software Store还在开发阶段，在Ubuntu 9.10（Karmic Koala)里不会取代上述的那些软件。下面是有关Ubuntu Software Store的一些图片。
