Vanessa Wall has announced the availability of the second alpha release of Mandriva Linux 2010: "MandrivaLinux 2010 Alpha 2 is now available on public mirrors. This alpha isavailable only through 'Free' editions, 32-bit and 64-bit DVDs. Despiteour planning modification (if you haven't heard it already, MandrivaLinux 2010 will be released on November 3rd, 2009), we were able toprovide this alpha 2 release sooner than expected. Among many things,the following components have been updated in alpha 2: KDE 4.3 RC 3;GNOME 2.27.5, including new client-side window GTK+ feature (help toprevent flickering); Linux kernel 2.6.31-rc4, X.Org Server 1.6.3 withlatest driver for Intel graphic chipset (should improve performance andstability)."
