人失明大多可预防

　　在这当中，白内障疾病是最常见的致盲因素，老年性白内障常发生于60岁以上者，与年龄增长成正比，70岁以上发病可达80％。而青光眼是危险性较高的一种，处理不当或没有及时治疗，即会导致视力丧失。较可怕的是慢性青光眼，因为此病通常没有明显症状，病人往往欠缺自觉性，很难被发现，通常是在眼科医生检查后才会发觉。同时，由于慢性青光眼到了后期，视神经已有一定的损坏，病者的视野会日渐收窄，视力也会渐渐减退，发觉时眼睛已经严重受损，甚至完全失明。　　

　　对于上述这些可致盲的眼病，南京医科大学第二附属医院张晓俊指出：只要防患于未然，警惕导致后天致盲的多种因素，一旦发现即早诊早治，避免失明是完全有可能的。尤其45岁以上的市民最好要定期体检，眼科检查最好每半年就做一次。　　最常见的致盲性眼病包括老年性白内障、青光眼、老年退行性黄斑病变、缺血性视神经病变等，还有由全身性疾病如糖尿病、高血压、动脉硬化等引起的眼底出血。
