Robert Lange has announced the second beta release of VectorLinux 5.8 Live edition: "The Vector development team is proud to announce the release of VectorLinux 5.8 Standard Live beta 2 and the eye-candy spectacular Beryl Live beta 2. This is a bug-fix release with new bootloader options (GRUB), some fixes to the hard drive installer and other minor fixes. These live CDs demonstrate all that is making the 5.8 VectorLinux release famous, like browser plugins, SeaMonkey, Firefox and Opera, the newest Xfce desktop, The GIMP and Xara LX, AbiWord and Gnumeric, wireless drivers and configuration tools, support for read and write to NTFS, and lots of fun and games.
